Tokens & billing
The Studio is metered in tokens. Tokens keep pricing predictable: you pay for the length of what you make, not per click.
How tokens are counted
Section titled “How tokens are counted”- Voice — about one token per second of audio.
- Video — about ten tokens per second, reflecting the heavier work.
The length of the generated media drives the cost, so a longer script costs proportionally more. Estimates are shown before you commit, and generation stops before any work starts if you can’t cover it.
Where tokens come from
Section titled “Where tokens come from”Tokens are drawn in a set order:
- Monthly allowance — included with a subscription plan.
- Wallet — top-up credit you’ve purchased.
- Pay-as-you-go — charged when allowance and wallet are exhausted (if enabled).
Your current balance or allowance is always shown in the Studio, and the account panel breaks down usage per generation.
Subscriptions & top-ups
Section titled “Subscriptions & top-ups”- Plans give a monthly token allowance that renews each period.
- Top-ups add wallet credit any time — useful for a busy stretch.
- Auto-top-up can refill your wallet automatically when it runs low.
Manage all of this from Plan & Billing in the Studio account panel.
Development is cheap, promotion charges
Section titled “Development is cheap, promotion charges”Drafts in development are metered but inexpensive, so you can iterate freely. The full charge applies when you promote a take to production. Copying an asset with Save as New costs no tokens at all.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Generating voice & video — what you’re spending tokens on.
- Versions & the vault — development vs production.
