The video editor
The video editor extends the same non-destructive model to picture. A video composition has Video, Voice and Music tracks, so you can cut a sequence and lay audio over it, then render a new video asset.
Start a video composition
Section titled “Start a video composition”From a project’s Editor section, choose Video. The composition opens with a Video track plus Voice and Music tracks.
Build the sequence
Section titled “Build the sequence”- The Asset library filters to the right sources for the active track — talking-head and combined assets for the Video track, voice assets for the audio tracks.
- Drag a clip onto a track, or select the track and Add.
- Reorder by dragging clips, or move them between tracks.
Trim each clip
Section titled “Trim each clip”Select a clip to open the inspector. For video clips you get a preview player with Set in / Set out buttons that mark the current frame, plus a Preview range button. Voice clips get the waveform trimmer. Every clip also has gain, fades and a timeline position.
Tag characters
Section titled “Tag characters”Give each clip a character (role) in the inspector. The role appears as a badge on the clip. This is the foundation for multi-character work — the render knows which performer each clip belongs to.
Render
Section titled “Render”Select Render to produce a new versioned video asset: the video clips are joined in order and the audio tracks are mixed over the top. It plays in the editor and files in your vault with its version history.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Multi-character scenes — put several characters on screen together.
- The audio editor — the audio-only equivalent.
- Versions & the vault — keep every take.
